School to school support from
The Lark Teaching School Alliance

Specialist leaders of education

We are currently building a portfolio of expertise within the alliance, so that any schools that have a clear strength can use their expertise to support their colleagues.

What are SLEs?

“Specialist leaders of education (SLEs) are outstanding middle and senior leaders who have the skills to support individuals or teams in similar positions in other schools. They understand what outstanding leadership practice in their area of expertise looks like and are skilled in helping other leaders to achieve it in their own context.”

The National College for Teaching and Leadership

Our Specialist Leaders of Education (SLEs)

SLEs will have a proven track record in their area of expertise and undertake Core training to ensure that the support they give is of the highest possible quality. They must have the capacity and skills to carry out support for middle and/or senior leaders in other schools. Individual deployments are based on need and demand; deployment types will vary and there is no pre-defined time commitment.

The Lark TSA has six SLEs working for our alliance; they are fully trained in leadership and curriculum support and can be deployed to support your school. Schools seeking support in any area should contact us.
